Love Children of the Apocalypse

Psychadelic Freakout

Elizabeth Lima, clarinette, voix
Michael Lynn, contrebass, bass synths

Love Children of the Apocalypse are a loving duo bridging the cities of Montreal and Toronto, Canada. Based in free improvisation, where punk influences intertwine with new music, the duo has more than one face and extends its practice to experimental noise and straight up rock/folk songs. Love Children blurs limits and explores contrasted states of being with a tinge of theatrics and the absurd.

Whim Ensemble

Ofer Pelz (accordion, electroniques)
Preston Beebe (percussion)

Percussive Landscapes

On the verge of composed and improvised music, Whim ensemble (Ofer Pelz, prepared piano & Preston Beebe, percussion) creates percussive landscapes by inventing instrument modifications and techniques to build an unusually rich sound world. They place found objects on their instruments to explore complex timbres, textures, and harmonies. Inspired by electroacoustic music, they generate sound through motion to create musical gestures which resonate to sound as one. Acting as an extension of the other, a motif develops to provide a framework to build a piece. Their experience as composers and improvisers are fused into an ensemble that seeks to spark imagination and curiosity.
